Account book of Hammond family [manuscript], ca. 1650-1765.

Dates covered: 1650-1655; 1662-1669; ca. 1700; ca. 1765. The earlier accounts are probably those of Anthony Hammond; those from 1662-1669 are those of his son and executor William. They include references to books purchased and plays attended. Also, medicinal recipes, a few listing symptoms, cookery and several household recipes, the way to sow tobacco (leaf 41), a list of books of theology, history and poetry compiled, ca. 1690, and a few pencil sketches of a coach and horses and a view.
